How can I have a cheap wedding reception that’s still classy?

My fiance and I have to pay for our own wedding, so we’re planning on doing an all-inclusive caribbean wedding that includes the actual ceremony if we stay 7 nights. So we can afford that. But we also want to celebrate when we return to the states with our family and friends, but we’re finding that the wedding receptions are the part that’s the most expensive. With about 80 guests, we need something we can do that’s under $3,000, but not a cheap-o kegger. Any ideas?
