The responsibilities of a Wedding Planner relieve the stress off of the wedding party and make sure that the day of the wedding is the most memorable instead of the most stressful.

To give you an idea of what is responsibilities are placed on the Wedding Planner and Coordinator, these are just a short sampling of the responsibilities of a Professional Wedding Planner - Determine and help maintain the parameters of the overall wedding budget; Setting and attending appointments with vendors, such as Ceremony and Reception Site Selection, Caterer / Restaurants (If necessary), Bridal Salon dress selections, Florist, Decor or Production Company, Entertainment (Band or DJ), Musicians for ceremony, Professional Wedding Photographer, Professional Videographer, Cake Decorator / Pastry Chef, Officiant, Calligrapher and Limo / Transportation for the Wedding Day.

Provide assistance with Accommodations for out of town guests; handle shipping and receiving when the bride and groom need to ship items for the wedding; orchestrate and direct their Rehearsal and Ceremony, working side by side with the vendors and officiant.

Not every part of our service is a virtuoso demonstration of our business competence (like we use for the envelope text and etiquette rules) or statistical analysis (like we use for projecting your attendance). After all, if you’re writing thank-you notes, all you really need is a list of who gave you what, so we can check off which gifts you’ve sent “thank-you’s” for … and that’s exactly what we give you. Choosing From Indian Wedding Photographers

January 26th, 2010
Mandy Chagger asked:

Indian cultural weddings are increasingly becoming a scene in the urban centres of the UK and other countries. Indians hold deep traditions that are highly related to Hindu traditions, although most of their rituals vary widely depending on the Indian hometown of the bride and the groom. In the UK and in other western countries, soon-to-be-married couples are looking at Desi weddings as an option since it gives couples new wedding themes, and it also allows them to explore different ways to express their love for each other. If you are considering alternative wedding themes, you should learn the beauty of Apna weddings. It is best to ask consultants like Indian weddings-photographers on how to successfully complete an Indian wedding.

The Asian Wedding Theme

Weddings are very joyful and bright events. The procession, guests, and everything else are filled with rich colours, and you have to go through a multitude of rituals and celebrations even before the main ceremony. Indian parties can continue for several days, and the parties take place every night. If you want to strictly follow traditional Indian celebration weddings, you need the involvement of your family wedding planner to walk you through the event. Indian (wedding) photographers are recommended, so you can capture every special moment of your wedding.

Unlike Christian weddings where we can choose whom to invite or not, North Indian punjabi weddings are very public, and you can invite as many as 1000 people, and more if you are can afford it. An punjabi wedding is one of the most critical ceremonies in the lives of the Hindus and Sikhs alike. In this ceremony, the bride is given to the husband to be with him for the rest of his life, not only because the bride loves the groom, but also because of the new duty that she is receiving. India weddings also have a lot of great dancing and festive music. The joy of Indian weddings is one of the biggest reasons why many are interested in having an Indian themed wedding. Indian wedding(s) are also a great way to wear different garbs while compelling your guests to wear exotic attire.

Choosing-From-Indian-Wedding-Photographers

Finding an Indian-wedding-photographer is not as hard today as finding one in previous years. However, you should be able to find specific criteria that will help you choose your Indians wedding-photographer. Brides and grooms should remember that a great wedding photographer must be able to present a great portfolio. From the portfolio, you can develop an impression of a photographer’s work, so you can decide if he or she is the one that you need.

Before you can choose from Indian-wedding-photographers and wedding planners, you must draw out what you want from your wedding day. Once you have created your asian wedding idea, you can go down to the specifics. Make a list of the things that you would like to have. Select from different photographer outputs like the number of prints, the type of photo album, and specific photo shots for very important sections. You can also decide if you want to have a base package for online photo journals, so you can share your moments online instantly.

After listing the specifics of the photo output, discuss your preferred style with your photographer. There are wedding photographers that greatly specialise in Indian party weddings, so it is best to find one that is familiar with the styles that will help bring out the joy of an Indian wedding. Classic wedding photography may work for Indian weddings, but you might still find a lot of elements missing if you cannot select from great Indian celebration wedding photographers for your wedding coverage

Experience with asian-weddings or other multicultural weddings is a great plus in selecting a wedding photographer. Different cultures have a wide range of wedding themes, and each theme has a different treatment in terms of finding the balance of rituals and celebrations that are most meaningful to the participants. Punjabi-photo-graphers must know the highs and lows of an fun packed wedding, so they can be at the right place during the right moment. Give your wedding photographer(s) a lot of creative freedom, so their best work can shine through.

Finally, it is important to open the lines of communication with your wedding-s photographer-s. He or she must understand what you want done, so they can work on your instructions and know what their border of creativity is. It takes a special eye to capture our weddings. Thus, make sure that your photographer understands the culture behind the wedding ceremony, so he could key in on the best moments and exploit on that to present a very positive picture of your experience.

Sending Wedding Invitations For A Reception After A Destination Wedding

January 22nd, 2010
Amy Carter asked:

Your destination wedding can be a fantastic and totally unique experience. While you’d like to take all of your friends and family with you, it is just not always possible for everyone to travel and get away for your wedding. In this instance, it is very common to hold another wedding reception once you have returned home. Keep your wedding invitations for your destination wedding few and save them for the reception when you return.

Invitations and announcements

Typically your destination wedding will be smaller than a traditional wedding. Since this may be the case, when planning your at-home reception plan on sending more wedding invitations than wedding announcements. Keep the reception small and light while you’re away and have a big bash when you return. This may be the one occasion when you can combine the wedding invitation and wedding announcement. Announce your wedding and then invite guests to your reception.

In some cases, if the actual wedding ceremony is much earlier than the planned ‘at home’ reception, a wedding announcement is sent separate from the wedding invitation. In this instance, you’d send a wedding invitation to those who are coming to the destination wedding, a wedding announcement to everyone else and then another wedding reception invitation to those you’d like to have at the ‘at home’ reception.

Reception

Once you’ve decided what you’re going to do for the reception, you should get those invitations in the mail. And make no mistake - this is not an everyday kind of party. You should treat this party as a real wedding reception, as that is what it is – just without the ceremony. You should have a wedding cake that you and the groom cut, a first dance and even toasts. Take advantage of this opportunity to wear your wedding dress again, this is probably the only time you will get to re-wear your wedding dress.

Elopement

There is no rule that states that you can’t have a reception after you’ve eloped. And there is also no rule that states that you have to have a reception. It’s your wedding and you can have it your way. If you do decide to have a wedding reception after you’ve eloped, make sure your wedding reception invitations state “we’ve eloped.” From there you can treat your reception as any other bride would. You can still cut the cake and have the first dance if you wish. Again, this might be the one and only place you can wear your wedding dress again.

Just an announcement

Some couples choose to elope as a way to avoid the expense of a wedding reception. This practice is perfectly acceptable as it is your wedding and you can do what you’d like. In this instance, make sure you send a wedding announcement to all of your friends and family. And while they may want to celebrate with you, it may have to be done on a smaller scale.

This is your wedding and you can make your plans any way you choose. Enjoy your romantic destination wedding and then come home and enjoy a great wedding reception. And if you decide to elope you’ve got lots of great options for wedding invitations and wedding announcements.

Check out MyExpression.com for great wedding invitations. You’ll also find great wedding announcements and much more for all of your wedding stationery needs.

Do little kids actually fantasize about marriage and weddings?

January 21st, 2010
Tea for the Tillerman asked:

I am planning my wedding, and on the various wedding-related sites I visit, I see multiple mentions of “the wedding you dreamed of when you were a little girl.” I never dreamed of such a thing until well after I hit puberty. Boys, yes, but not weddings.

Do many (most? any?) kids under ten actually fantasize about weddings? Did you? Do your kids?

January 18th, 2010
Erin asked:

I’m 13 years old and I’ve heard of kids my age getting jobs playing at country clubs and weddings and stuff like that. I practice 2 hours a day and have been playing for 8 years. I play piano whenever I see one. In a store, at family parties, my parents’ work parties, anything. What else can I do to get people to notice me and get a job?

January 16th, 2010

I’m into the Bible and I have a blog and like to write things I don’t know that I could be a full time preacher because I’m a quiet backward individual and don’t talk to people very well but is there anything on the internet or anywhere that I could take a course to be certified to preach weddings and things of that nature?

LEt’s Hear It For The Wedding Chocolate Favors

January 16th, 2010
wedding chocolates asked:

Belgian chocolate is one of the best chocolates in the world. But then again it doesn’t have to be belgium chocolate to create a mouth watering effect to those people who crave for sweets. Wedding Chocolates are simply a quality choice as a wedding favor.

But then, chocolates are not just a token given to someone special on a special event. Chocolate wedding favors have become one of the greatest items a couple could use in their wedding as a favor If it is going to be your own wedding, perhaps you might as well consider this option.

It’s just to show that a wedding favor is not anymore particular to a home décor but it can now also be a usable or an edible thing. Intimacy and passion comes to mind when talking chocolates.

Perhaps it is the reason why they have been used as one of the options in the line up of wedding favors. And to make wedding chocolate favor more suitable for a wedding, different molds have been created to shape the chocolate into designs that would suit any type of wedding. Of course there are other tastes available as well in mint, dark, or white chocolate, and these can be appropriately matched with a particular shape of wedding chocolate favors.

Wedding chocolate favors can fit a royal wedding theme, an outdoor wedding, or Disney-type topic wedding. A chocolate favour lollipop can take about any shape or designs that could fit a wedding celebration. Those heart-shaped chocolate favors that have a design in the middle are the simplest design that you can have.

You can also use an oval, round, or rectangular forms since they are wide enough to make more patterns in the middle of the chocolate. Some of the more unique shapes in the wedding chocolates design world would be wedding gown, tuxedo, bride and groom image, flowers such as rose and calla lily, birds such as swan and dove, castle, wedding bell, wedding cake, and even elegant fans.

Furthermore, these chocolaty designs can also be modified a bit and use them as a wedding chocolate cake topper or centerpiece. You can add some more accessories to your chocolate favors.

A colorful mini stick and a ribbon can turn your favor lolly into a more amazing wedding favor. But Then, you can also give those chocolate wedding favors a personal touch if you want to. Individualized chocolate favors are also more inviting because your guest will see that you have put some extra effort into creating them

Looking for the best wedding favor can be alot of fun that you and your partner can do together. When you pick out to have chocolates as your wedding favor, rest assured that you and your spouse will share that sweet moment; designing your wedding motif together..

Top Wedding Invitation Styles and Wording

January 13th, 2010
Rachel Jackson asked:

When you are looking at your wedding invitations and trying to decide exactly how you want them to be designed, there are going to be a few things that you should think about, so you can make the best decision for yourself regarding the styles and wording that you choose. It is extremely important to be fully satisfied with your wedding invitations. You will be able to keep the invitations for the rest of your life and remember how special your wedding day was to you and your family.

Styles

The first thing you may want to think about when you are looking at the invitations you might be using is the style. You should keep in mind that the invitation is going to be the first thing that people see or hear about your wedding. You want to make sure that it is the absolute best that it can be. There are plenty of different styles for you to choose from, and you want to make sure that the style you pick says as much about you as it says about your wedding.

The most important thing to remember is that often time’s people depend on the styles of the wedding invitations to create the mood for their wedding and for the festivities that revolve around their wedding. Therefore, it is important for you to remember that you must decide on a style for your invitation that has everything to do with the type of wedding that you want. A very formal wedding, a wedding that is held at night, or a destination wedding, should all have an invitation style that is exclusive to that particular event. You want to be sure that if you don’t have a fancy and formal wedding, your invitation style reflects this. It is very important for you to be able to look at your wedding invitation and see that the style reflects what you are looking to do with the wedding itself.

Weddings today are sometimes con-current with the seasons. These are seasonal reflections of style that work together based on the season in which the wedding takes place. These are also interesting styles for you to choose, because they allow you to personalize it just the same. If your wedding is in December or January, you may want to think about going with a snow or ice theme. If you are getting married in May, you might want to think about the sun shining through and the flowers blossoming.

Wording

Another thing to keep in mind is the wording on the invitations. You want to be sure that the words you use are in tune with your wedding style. There are several things you can do with the words you choose to create a great style for your wedding invitation.

First of all, you might want to think about using words that are more proper and formal if that is the type of wedding you are having. Then obviously use words that are less formal if you are having a more relaxed, casual wedding. Another matter to consider is who is paying for the wedding, and how they should be acknowledged. If your parents are paying for the wedding, they should be mentioned. But when you put them first, it makes it seem like the wedding is a party that they are throwing you. If you change around the wording to have yourself listed first, this makes the wedding seem less formal and allows you to have a bit more fluctuation in the way that your wedding is going to be perceived.

All in all, the style and wording of your invitations are going to be very important. By starting at the beginning, the very first thing that anyone sees about your wedding will be something that you like and admire. You will have a chance to express as much as you want about your wedding through the word choices and through the style of the invitation. All told, you should be able to have a wonderful wedding, and your invitation is only going to be the beginning of it. But, don’t underestimate the importance of having a great invitation. You should really make sure that you get the word out about your wedding in a fashion that is suitable for the event itself. Make sure your invitations say and express exactly what you want people to know about this great day.

When you think about what you would like your wedding to be, you are already thinking about the style that you would like. Once you add the wording into it, you probably already have a good idea of how your wedding invitation should be. With the right wording and style, you’ll find that your wedding invitations are priceless. And that is how you want your wedding day to be remembered.

How to Find the Best Wedding Invitations

January 13th, 2010
Lisa Parker asked:

Wedding invitations are often the first indication of the style or theme of the event. Your friends and family should be able to get an idea about how formal the wedding will be, or, in the case of a destination wedding, where the event will be held. Often overlooked, wedding invitations are a crucial part of the wedding planning process and finding the best ones available should be a top priority.

Choosing the best wedding invitations means more than just picking top of the line cards and papers. It means choosing wedding invitations that reflect your style and the style of your wedding, as well as choosing wedding invitations that give your guests all the information they need in order to attend your wedding.

It is important to remember that the purpose of your wedding invitations is to give your prospective guests important information. That is why wedding invitations often contain so many parts. A full wedding invitation suite would include everything from Save the Date cards to Thank You cards, preferably all in the same style. One of the things you should consider when deciding on the best invitations for your wedding is whether there are coordinating pieces of stationery for all of your wedding stationery needs.

Of course, there are other factors to consider when choosing wedding invitations for your special event. Here’s how to pick the best wedding invitations to reflect the special style of your wedding day.

Choose wedding invitations that reflect the formality of your wedding

How formal is your wedding? If you are planning a formal wedding, you might want to choose wedding invitations that follow the “rules” of etiquette for wedding invitations. That means engraved wedding invitations in white or cream with black text, but it does not mean that you are confined to invitations that look like every other wedding invitation.

Even if you are choosing formal invitations, there is a surprising variety of styles in embossing, fonts and designs from which to choose. Whether you choose a timeless classic like Ivory Elegance or the more subtle beauty of Refined Grace, your wedding invitations will be a unique reflection of your formal, traditional wedding.

Semiformal and casual weddings open up an entire range of wedding invitations styles from which you can choose, or even design your own wedding invitations entirely. The invitations that you choose can use color, images and even photographs of the bride and groom. You may choose gatefold invitations with a photo of the bride and groom on the cover that open to reveal the printed text of the invitation itself, or pick a brightly accented invitation with matching foil liners for the invitation envelope.

Reflect your chosen colors in your wedding invitations

No matter what colors you have chosen for your wedding, you can find wedding invitations that reflect those colors. You have your choice of standard wedding invitations in cream or white with just a touch of your wedding colors in the form of ribbons or borders, or pick wedding invitations that make fuller use of your chosen colors in background papers, print or overall design. You can find colorful invitations that reflect your wedding colors when you choose a line of wedding invitations designed in house by the same designers that created your wedding dresses and other wedding stationery.

Find wedding invitations that suit the theme of your wedding

Theme weddings have never been more popular than they are now. Many couples choose to be married in a beach or island setting, in a medieval castle or in a garden that pays homage to Mother Nature. If you have decided to build your wedding around a theme, the best wedding invitations for you may be those that fit right into theme. For a beach wedding, you may choose invitations embossed with delicate shells and fronds, while the best wedding invitations for your fabulous Great Gatsby Roaring 20s wedding may feature art deco styling and bright colors.

Pick wedding invitations created by your favorite designers

Many designers of fabulous wedding dresses have opened their design lines to include a full line of bridal designs – not only wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses, but wedding stationery, invitations and table décor. Let designers help you coordinate your wedding invitations with your wedding style by choosing a line of invitations inspired by your favorite designer.

Pick wedding invitations that are part of the season

If you are having a summer wedding, choose invitations that are light and breezy with lots of floral accents. The winter bride might choose a snowflake theme for her wedding invitations. You can find plenty of wedding invitations that are seasonal, reflecting the mood for both the time of year and traditional holidays when you shop online bridal shops.

Of course, the most important part of finding the best wedding invitations is to find wedding invitations that you love, and that reflect your style as a couple. The very best way to ensure that your wedding invitations are a perfect match for your wedding is to design them yourself. Many wedding designers now offer you the option to create your own wedding invitations right online.
